Founder and CEO Matt Polak sat down with Cybercrime Magazine to talk about a problem most security programs still treat as somebody else’s job: the personal data of their own people. Executives, finance staff, IT admins, anyone whose access is worth stealing. Their home addresses, cell numbers, and family details are sitting on data broker sites right now, and attackers know what to do with them. Polak’s point in the interview is that individual exposure is an open door into the company.
He also gets into why this fight now runs at machine speed on both sides. Attackers use automation to assemble target profiles in bulk, so the defense has to run continuously, too. Polak describes the VanishID platform as an “army of agents that never sleeps,” finding exploitable external identity information across the web, getting it taken down, and turning what’s left into something a CISO can act on.
